Downloads

Use these downloads from today's Bride to create call lists for you to work up. Increase your business and sales by calling customers on this list. This was a subscription that the business paid for. Use it. Mail out info, call the people on the list. They asked for info from people like you, so be that guys and make your bucks from it!!
Prices

Just remember when you give quotes, that the $200.00 deposit will go to the business to cover stuff like: The "RPM" Subscription,This web site, The Yellow Pages, Maintenance of the gear, Today's bride advertisement, Music, New gear, Party favors, ect.. Then I would highly recommend that you bring a partner to all your shows, I believe that this offers the very best product for your customer and it will be reflected in your show to all who are there. You will have to work out the pay for that team mate, the rest is all yours to keep. Don't be afraid to quote between $600 and $1000 for your show. Other DJ's are! But I would use $600 as the bottom price. Call me if you need more info.

This is the main list that I use for my day to day calls. I track when I have called the customer last, when I sent the contract, everything. It will also show who may work or who the customer wants to have at their show. It will show how much on the total charge, type of show and possibly the location.

Please feel free to call any of these brides to line up your upcoming schedule. All of the work is there, you just need to go and get it.

Extra Sales Potentials

Give these unsold potential shows a call to see what you can do!! These are all generated from either phone calls from our Yellow Pages ads or from or they could be from our friends over at Lori-O-Ross, Reunions Made Easy or just a reference from a past show. All of these listed contacted us first. Also Remember, If the call you are making is on behalf of Lori-O-Ross or Reunions Made Easy, let the client know this. Also let them know you are very good friends and agent listed first, and they asked you to give them a call. Otherwise, you should let this customer know you are a Sound Experience Team Member, calling them in regards to their previous inquiry. Keep it simple, be yourself, have fun. If any of these sales calls prove to be a dead end, please let me know so I can remove them from this list. Remember, You have the control to keep yourself busy, it's all right here. I will update this list frequently. Thanks.

New Eyewear Boutique looking for DJ's

A DJ spinning records in an optical shop? How very European. The new Shades Optical at 202 W. Fourth in Royal Oak is looking for both up-and-coming DJ's and established pros to spin ambient groove and smooth house beats for two-hour sets 8-10 p.m. Fridays and 3-5 p.m. Saturdays. "I always want to be a part of the community; otherwise, I'd be in the mall." said Shades owner and optometrist Bill Koppin, who also owns eyewear boutiques in Birmingham and Northville. "Music is a big part of people's lives. It fits with Royal Oak and it fits with us, also. Music plays in the store all the time." Shades' Royal Oak location is the first to have a DJ booth. Tucked behind the showroom of designer eyewear, the tiny room contains state-of-the-art equipment, including two Techniques SL-1200 turntables, a pioneer CDJ 1000 player, plus head-phones, needles and storage space. DJ's bring their own music. "Were looking for a relaxing style of electronic music. more mellow music with a low or mild drum beat. Nothing offensive to anyone," said Shades manager Phil Childres. "We're putting a schedule together and plan to bring in some larger (well-known) names. "The concept of spinning records is making its way from Europe," he added. "You'll see DJ's in Miami Beach restaurants, but usually not in optical shops." Childres and Koppin have worked together spinning music in an area bar. "There's a misconception that electronic music, spinning records, is associated with 'Rave' parties," Koppin said. "DJ's are just taking their music and playing their music. I have 400 to 500 records or CD's and play what I want-Jazz, Disco. It's always something different." Selections from Koppin's extensive music collection and favorites brought in by the store's employees play in the background at Shades. "Come downtown, have dinner, then check out the DJ's at Shades. That's the plan," Koppin said. "Of course I want to sell glasses, but it's a great way to show how connected we are to music and the community." Interested DJ's can call Childres, 248-584-0075.

Bridal Show

Contact Danny about an upcoming bridal show. Go talk to the brides directly and sell your self. Set up a set and show your stuff. Have fun. Contact Dan for further details.

How do I learn More?

For those of you who are wishing to learn more, You can always contact the Master Floor Host that is scheduled for any show. Inquire with them about the show date that you are interested in. They will know what the customer expects. Perhaps you can tag along with them and their mixer to learn more. Or you can always ask Jim. But remember, Shows are quoted out at a certain price, we can't overload the customer with tons of extra costs. Learning more from our Masters may come on your own time and not our customers expense. But the education and fun is free!!

Be Personable

Remember, the very best tip I can give when performing sales or contacting potential customers is to be very personable. Pretend like you have known them for 50 years. Be yourself, don't BS or lie, just be honest and be yourself. If you don't know the answer, tell them your not sure, but you know how to find out. Use the web site to the fullest to answer their questions. Have fun with it, see what your potential really is!

Call your customers back right away

This is the Key to success in this business. The longer you wait to call back your customers, the farther away you will be from the sale. You must make every effort to call them back fast and frequently. Especially if they contacted you. After you made the connection, call them once in a while to touch base. They will appreciate it. It will prove your sense of caring. That may be just what makes the sale for you. The bottom line is to call soon, call often.
